Last week's Michael Kors challenge required the designers to use locations which inspired Michael's work. Each of the designers picked a location, then designed a look based on it. Nicolas and Christopher found themselves in the bottom two with Nicolas being eliminated.
With only two guys left, the four girls were feeling confident. Carol Hannah was self-conscious of only making dresses and wanted to break out of this pattern. Christopher reflected on how he started the competition strong but had fizzled in recent weeks.
The designers met Heidi on the runway but with a slight twist this week. Instead of facing the runway, the designers were told to face away from the runway. Heidi told the designers to turn around and on the runway were the designers winning looks from the previous weeks.
She told them the best of the best challenge would be to design a companion piece to their winning design. Since Logan had never won a challenge, the judges selected one of his better pieces for the challenge.

Project Runway Top 6 Episode 11 Recap: The Challenge
The designers met Tim at the work room and had 30 minutes to sketch. They would have $100 for shopping and only until midnight to complete the challenge.
In the work room, everyone was nervous about their designs. Feeling so close to Bryant Park, no one wanted to take too much of a risk.
Carol Hannah and Althea debated their designs and had a hard time making decisions. Christopher opted to buy 30 yards of fabric to make a large gown. The other designers thought he was crazy.
Tim arrived to review everyone's work. He found Carol Hannah floundering while Irina impressed Tim with her direction. Tim thought Christopher's design looked too matronly while Althea's pants looked like they were stuffed with a diaper.
Logan explained his edgy look which featured over 40 zippers. Althea noticed that he made the collar out of zippers, just as she had done on one of her previous designs. Althea and Irina gossiped about Logan and how bitter they were about Logan stealing Althea's zipper idea.
Logan talked about how snotty Irina was and that she had the nickname "mean-a Irina." Althea seemed to take on some of Irina's characteristics by complaining about Carol Hannah's designs. But soon, Irina was complaining about Althea's whining and felt Althea was stealing her Aspen look.
Project Runway Top 6 Episode 11 Recap: Runway Reaction
Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia were joined on the judging panel by Nick Verreos, an instructor and former Project Runway contestant. Also judging, actress Kerry Washington.
After the runway show, Christopher started by describing his gown. Nina found the design too bottom heavy and looking like a parade float. Irina described her evening look based on her Aspen design. Nick found it uptown chic while Nina found the brocade dress cheap.
Gordana described her look and Heidi didn't find it beautiful. Kerry found it passive while Nina found it drab and depressing. Carol Hannah explained her design while Kerry liked the elegant simplicity of it.
Logan described his edgy zipper design while Nina thought it looked like a fashion student project. Althea described her pants and sweater look. Heidi loved the pants while Kerry liked the sweater. Heidi asked about who first came up with the sweater look and Irina went off to the judges and said people were copying her looks. Althea looked at Irina dumbfounded.
Project Runway Winner Announced & One Designer Eliminated: Auf Wiedersehen
The six remaining designers returned to the runway. Heidi informed Carol Hannah was in and announced Althea the challenge winner (while Irina rolled her eyes). Heidi then told Irina and Christopher that they were in.
Heidi told Gordana that the suit was sad, drab, and dated. To Logan, Heidi told him he really needed to edit his look. Heidi informed Gordana that she was in and that Logan was eliminated.
