Previously on Models of the Runway, the top three models came to New York to prepare for Bryant Park. The models were given a challenge to select a model for their designer's runway show.
The models rested, received make-up guidance, and waited for New York Fashion Week to begin. Each model trusted and believed in her designer.
Project Runway Winner Announced
This final episode opens with Heidi announcing the winning designer, Irina Shabayeva. Kalyn bursts into tears as do her fellow models. With Irina's win, Kalyn becomes the winning model.
Kalyn rushed to the runway state to congratulate Irina and receive a hug from Heidi. Kalyn's parents meet her on the runway to give her hugs and kisses.
Tanisha and Lisa meet with their designers to say their goodbyes. All of the models then meet Heidi at the runway to discuss the competition.
Kalyn explained how excited she was to be paired with the winning designer. All of the judges thought the models all did a wonderful job.
Retrospective & Flashback Scenes from the Show
Heidi then decided to take a trip down memory lane and filled the rest of the episode with a lookback at moments from the show.
Tanisha demonstrates her strong attitude and confidence. Flashbacks show Tanisha dancing, lounging, and making fun of her fellow models.
Lisa shows how badly she did in a casting call where she needed to speak. She stumbled, studdered, and ultimately couldn't complete the casting call.
Kalyn displays her perky personality by dancing and exhibiting her naive behavior. Heidi thought Kalyn was the nicest of the models and wondered if she could ever be mean.
Logan Fascination, Tears, and Model Apartment Fights
Heidi then addressed the fascination with Logan, the straight and sexy designer. The flashback include clips of Logan without his shirt to tease the models further.
Clips of confrontations with Katie and Kalyn, as well as flashbacks to Fatma who created tension within the model apartment. Heidi then showed runway scenes when Johnny lied about his design and when Epperson fought with Qristyl.
The Sound Heard Around the World
The flashback begins with the fart which occured on the runway during model selection which Celine admitted came from her. Next, during judging one of the judges cell phones continuosly rings and heidi tries to announce the results.
A few never before seen scenes show Heidi dancing, laughing, and having fun backstage. In one scene, Heidi is yawning and in another she makes a mistake in annoucing the judge's name.
Overall, this final episode gave a lackluster finish to this first season of the show. Thirty minutes of flashbacks didn't add anything special that wasn't already shown before. A few bloopers and never before seen clips gave little boost to the episode.
Heidi thanked everyone for making a great first season. She wished them luck and blew them kisses. The models gave their thanks to the show and looked forward to their modeling careers.
